Process was incredibly efficient. From making the appointment to promptness, courtesy and effectiveness of the technician. They sent a text with ETA of arrival. Text included picture and rating of the technician. My tech was Nicolas. He was great. He fixed the problems I was having quickly and even provided a little lagniappe by setting a clock on my opener that had been flashing for months.....Nicolas offered other services, but I didn’t need them and he wasn’t pushy about taking them. I’d recommend to anyone!

I called the Baton Rouge number for Precision to ask how much it costs to replace a garage door spring. I was told there would be a $50 callout fee which also included a thorough safety inspection, plus $85 - $165 depending on what type of spring I wanted. When the person arrived, he looked at the garage door for a few minutes, told me that the system could not be repaired and had to be converted over to a different type, and quoted two options from $500 - $688. I told him I’d prefer to get quotes from others first. He then told me I had to pay the $50 callout fee. Now I was fine with this fee if, in the end, I’d get a repaired garage, but this was $50 for nothing! I explained to him that I was told a much different price over the phone. He said that the call center got it wrong. He was sympathetic with me and contacted his boss to see if the callout fee could be waived. They would not, so I was out the $50 for nothing. I then called 3 other companies, which all quoted within the range of $300-$400, showing that the Precision business model is probably based on this bait and switch maneuver where the customer pays the higher cost because they’ve already invested $50. Also, NONE of the others charged a callout fee and offered free estimates. And one other tidbit, they cashed the check in the same day, which is not typical for other repair companies we have used. Stay far away from these guys!

Called Precision Door that morning and got an appointment for 2 PM that afternoon. Received a text with my technician Evan’s picture and a short bio. Awesome and professional service. Diagnosis of problem, new opener installed, gone in less than 2 hours. Wow!

The crew arrive at the appointed time. They were very courteous and explained everything they were going to do. The job was completed in two and a half hours. After they cleaned up the job site they explained in detail the operation of the door including the lubricant requirements. I am well pleased with the installation of the door

Our garage door was making a very disturbing noise. We were able to get an appointment for the same day we called. The two technicians that came out were very professional and they were able to complete all of the work that day. They took the time to explain all of the working details to us. They installed a new PDS 800 linear opener, springs and other parts, remotes and keypad. They even re-programmed the garage door opener button in our 2 cars. We would definitely use them again!

Excellent service called before the appointment told me he was available early if I was, very hospitable with his pitch. Then assessed my unit which was 19yrs old together we determined it wasn't worth hanging parts on an old unit. He then offered to replace the entire thing for what I thought was very fair. Next proceeded to change the entire thing out in 45min. Can't express how pleased I was with the experience from top to bottom.

I chose Precision based on Angie's List reviews/ratings. Precision exceeded any expectations I may have had for garage door repair. I called on a Friday afternoon and they had someone at my house first thing Saturday morning. My garage door would not stay closed. The technician that came on Saturday assessed the situation and we decided to get a new opener. Another technician came first thing Monday morning with the equipment and installed it. On Friday afternoon we experienced our garage door not opening when car remote activated; also would not open with control inside the garage. We saw the spring, above the door was broken. When I Googled "LiftMaster Garage Doors Baton Rouge" your Precision site came up. I was impressed with all the information contained on the site, so gave a call. Your service technician, Kinsman, showed up at 8:00 AM Saturday morning, explained the problem and the solution in a very professional manner and took care of our problem in less than an hour, at a reasonable price. He left our garage door in perfect operating condition (with no more squeaking, either) and took all the old broken parts away, too. I was very impressed. Would definitely recommend Precision and your technician, Kinsman, to anyone having garage door issues.
